AVSSD-798B provides 30 times optical zoom and 8 times for digital. Focal length starts with 3.3mm, giving surveillance manager enough range for general view, and the ability of catching specific target in details with the fast moving 30x zoom function, which will bring 99mm focal length for tele-watch.   The self-calibrating function built in the camera will re-align the AVSSD-798B periodically and automatically, ensuring the PTZ camera will run smoothly and correctly during its journey of work.
high resolution . day-n-night
AVSSD-798B PTZ uses Sony Ex-view CCD and provides 520-line high resolution image in color and detail, or 570-line super-high resolution when working under black-white mode.. Its lens has a built-in and removable IR-cut filter which will alter the position during low-light condition to allow bright-enough image shot with IR illumination to pass onto CCD.   Should no IR source is supplied in dark, the slow shutter, a user-optional and adjustable function available in OSD menu, will help in obtaining bright-enough image by accumulating more frames for forming one picture. The DSS function can be disengaged when light is good, when it’s set to AUTO.

AVSSD-798B is created with IP-66 water resistant capabilities. Together with the power-management software built-in the machine, the AVSSD-798B is assured for reliable function for all indoor and some outdoor surveillance.   Moving speed of AVSSD-798B is ranged from 0.25 to 300o / sec, which is decided by user through controller (such as keyboard, DVR or video server). The AVSSD-798B moves continuously in horizontal direction, clockwise or counter-clockwise. For vertical direction, its mechanical system allows the camera move 180o continuously before hitting the edge, therefore may provide 180 o scan and surveillance range along to vertical axis.
SNR … super-noise-reduction
The AVSSD-798B camera's signal-to-noise ratio is more than 50dB, allowing the camera to deliver more clear image. Furthermore, its SNR (Super-Noise-Reduction) function reduces video noise and ghost significantly that are usually seen in ordinal cameras when working in low-light with DSS (digital slow shutter).   The noise appeared in low-light condition is the primary killer to DVR performance, in terms of recorded image quality and HDD space. The low-noise and ghost free image provided by SNR function not only makes great improvement on image clarity but also saves DVR's recording space, so that the overall efficiency of surveillance system is remarkably increased.
WDR … wide dynamic range
WDR is an exciting function created with contemporary digital image technology for dramatically improving contrast of picture that has target exposed under overwhelming light source (usually the natural sunlight) – which may drive the target become too dark due to the over-do of auto gain control.   WDR makes double exposures for each picture, with two different shutter speeds – one is in normal speed and the other in high speed. It then super-impose the two to make one picture, and bring the contrast back into a normal range.
Special Image-functions
AVSSD-798B has internal memory for 64 presets (including zoom and focus) for surveillance, and 128 numbers for camera ID Presets are programmable for auto-run or line-scan. The first 16 of total 64 presets is automatically and equally partitioned into 4 groups for making surveillance to different positions or routes in different time periods (example: day, night or holiday). Panning between two specific points, in alternative name of line-scan, is also available in this PTZ.   During the event time, auto-run will be activated automatically to observe the areas that are pre-defined for monitoring.
